KINGSTON HAS TWO CAYS THAT ARE HOME TO ARGUABLY THE BEST BEACH EXPERIENCES IN JAMAICA
Maiden Cay (Top) and Lime Cay (Bottom) are the two main cays off the coast of Port Royal, Kingston. Maiden cay is popular among party planners as it is often the exotic location for hype exclusive day parties. Maiden cay is popular called the ‘Kingston’s sandbar’. Lime Cay, the lusher of the two has more vegetation than sandy plain. It is popular among locals and visitors who desire a more islandic experience when visiting Kingston.

IN 2015 PRESIDENT OBAMA VISITED KINGSTON FOR ONE DAY
On April 8-9, 2015 The First black President of the United States of America, President Barack Obama visited Kingston. With all that accompanies the great President Kingston and all of Jamaica was in a 24 hour frenzy over his being here. Many watched from building tops, fences and road sides as his motorcade paraded through the closed of streets of Kingston to and fro his appointments. A fun fact is that on the President of the United State’s first stop while visiting Kingston was at the Bob Marley Museum on Hope Road. Surfing in Jamaica? Yes! Surfing in Jamaica is indeed a thing and in fact, despite Kingston being the least thought about when it comes onto sea and sand (as opposed to the rest of Jamaica), surfing’s birthplace is in Port Royal, KINGSTON!

As history precedes the country of Jamaica Kingston is the largest predominantly english-speaking city in the region. Granted the country has been previously inhabited by Africans and the Spanish but it is the British colonialism that last effected the shaping of the emancipated island nation.

THE INFAMOUS PORT ROYAL IS ACTUALLY A PART OF KINGSTON CITY
Port Royal is a city located at the end of the Palisadoes at the mouth of the Kingston Harbour, in southeastern Jamaica. Founded in 1518, it was the centre of shipping commerce in the Caribbean Sea during the latter half of the 17th century.
