KB: Do you see yourself as a Publicist/Manager/Agent/Other?

YEMI: I see myself as a growing publicist and manager in the company.

RASHADE: I’m just a 21 year old trying a ting. Lol.

KB: What are your thoughts on PR in Jamaica?

YEMI: PR in Jamaica is not popular, not many people understand it...even though it is cousins to marketing PR to me goes much deeper than what meets the eye, hence why I’m so interested in it.

RASHADE: It’s under-appreciated but who cares, Yemi and I get it so more work for us.

KB: Who's the next big thing that's emerging in Jamaica?

YEMI: Lol I’d love to say myself, but let’s be real; I think the next big thing in Jamaica is our queens. I’m excited to see what they will bring to the table. Everyone's anticipating the competitions for MUJ and MJW for December and January. So we'll see.

RASHADE: It could very well be singer/songwriter Sevana. Her music is really good and she has a sell-able distinction about her. But NeXT is constantly looking to break people in so keep Laurie, Kaci and basically anyone we represent to be next.

KB: What brand that has been around for a while do you applaud for marketing and PR?

YEMI: Locally I would have to say I applaud JWray & Nephew, their work is always on point and is growing.

RASHADE: KERRY manwomanhome, Clarke has a way with people that I’ve never seen in anyone else as yet. She does campaigns just because and what that tells you is that she’s serious about her brand and loves it and those are important keys to brand development; passion and drive.

KB: Which company or person would you love to represent and why? (local & Intl.)

YEMI: hmmm this is tough lol. I would want to represent Digicel because to me they seem more forward in their vision in hopes for the brand to be on an international level. Internationally I would love to represent the hardrock Cafe or the Venetian in Las Vegas. I mean I’d demand my personal hotel room and the night life there is amazing at both places! Persons who know me, knows that I love to party. A personality I’d love to work with would be a Tinashe and Jamaican if I had to choose one would be Nyanda.

RASHADE: Well, unlike wild child here I’d love to work with Kering they own YSL, McQueen, Gucci, Puma and more plus their operating income is 9 billion euros per year. I’d also be interested in representing Kylie Jenner, ATL and Tessanne.

KB: What's a day at the Next offices like?

YEMI: lets just say that it’s not normal here, we're really crazy. I love that the environs is so full of energy even when myself and my business partner/ friend is down. We bump heads a lot when it comes to work, but the drive that we both have to achieve perfection and success for our company makes it a-o-k.

RASHADE: It gets very crazy, a lot of made-up songs and embarrassing dance sessions and name calling. I love it most when we score a new client and we start to dream up our approach.

KB: How do you escape your World of Pr and just relax?

YEMI: To be honest KB, I don’t think I ever do escape it. PR is everywhere and in everything. But let’s just be frank; a nice glass of white rum with ting and a piece of lime with a Matterhorn and hanging around good people and makes me relax and not give a damn about work.

RASHADE: We’re a new company so there isn’t much relaxing right now but we focus on Entertainment and Celebrities so our work is quite fun in itself.

Regency or Cru?

YEMI: Regency...my new favorite hot spot!

RASHADE: Cru has a special place in my heart but is way to open for me now so hello Terra Nova.

Wine or Scotch?

YEMI: Wine

RASHADE: Wine, Voga or Berringer please!

Inside or outside

YEMI: Outside

RASHADE: Inside

Hotel or Villa?

YEMI: Hotel mostly, depends on what we're doing but def hotel for the most part.

RASHADE: Villa! I have a very “I’m here to work” relationship with hotels. Villas are so much more relaxing and private. And villa laundry doesn’t smell like bleach.

Loafers or oxfords?

YEMI: I love me some loafers.soo easy to slip on.

RASHADE: Both!
