Model Off Duty: Taj Smith
Walking in a premier fashion show and co-starring in a major fashion campaign, you've had quite the debut into the modeling industry. What has been the best/most memorable part so far? The most memorable part of being in the modelling industry was my debut; Collection Moda, it was nerve wracking but exciting at the same time.
What's on your mind when you hit the runway? When I hit the runway? Mhhmm, Too much, I was like "Tajj dont trip or don't look nervous". But through all of that I still felt confident, it was afterall my first runway show and it was an experience to learn from.
What makes up your everyday Taj-wear for a sunny day in Kingston? I love tank tops, I have a million of them lol. But what makes up my everyday Taj-wear for a sunny day is a tank top, cuffed jeans or dockers pants, and my shades and i am off in the sun.
One article of clothing you can't live without. I have a thing for wrist accessories so I doubt I can live without them.
What would be the ideal model gig for you at this point? At this point in my career im very humble, I am willing to be apart of any gig that will accept me and make a positive impact on my career.
What's the best part about being backstage or on-set? That' have to be meeting other great models and the designers. I have created friendships from these gigs.
What do you think about menswear and male modeling in Jamaica? I think that we are now transitioning from what was considered traditional menswear and are now playing with fashion a bit and creating their own personal style. Male modelling in Jamaica is kind of a thing right now but we're still not being given as much opportunities as the females.
What's life for you outside of modelling? (Passions, sport and leisure) My life is complicated really, its like I am always doing something. I'm a full time Media and technology student and I have a full time job, but outside of all that chaos I find time to have fun; party, chill and play online games. Im pretty much the regular Joe... or Tajj, is that a thing? lol

What's your ideal day off like? I don't have many days off really for I am always doing stuff but whatIi would love my ideal day off to be is just me on a resort somewhere with a ton of food.
What's one thing almost anyone would be surprised to know about you? I am a foody, I love food. Especially junk food, that's the best type really!
